Who invented baseball

Alexander Joy Cartwright was the man who invented baseball in June 19, 1846. In 1842 he established Knickerbocker Base Ball Club, but the game they played in 27th street and 4th Avenue was called town ball (some kind of cricket and rounders’ game mix). In 1845 Cartwright and Knickerbocker Base Ball Clubs committee wrote rules for baseball. The first and the real baseball game with 9 players instead of 7 were played in June 19, 1846.
